Antics DID ensue... oh lordy...
The bachelorette party was crazy fun. My friends are psychotic but I love them anyway. A costume part it was, and almost everyone who was invited got to come. THey all wore what they wanted but decided that I had to wear all the lingerie I was given over my clothes -- good thing only three items were purchased, none of which are for serious wear but more to humiliate me in public. They also hooked me up with a tool belt that was supposed to be filled with naughty things, but only one person came through, so I spent the night threatening people with the sparkly silver vibrator. Later Ali was a dear and bought me a penis shaped lolipop to go in the tool belt along with the real handcuffs. Lovely. As a final touch I was required to tote a truly horrific blow up man around all night. Some annoying high schoolers at the bowling alley ran off with him for awhile but then after they'd had their fun brought him back and got an earfull from my girls.
We prefunked at Brittany's where I was informed I was not allowed to be sober all night long, before taking off for Rock'n'bowl. We were going to hit up the casino, but since we missed the first shift of bowling due to a car smoosh on the free way, we went the the second shift starting at 11:30 and when we were done were too tired to go to the casino.
Missed you Emi! Don't worry, you can get in on the crazy some other time. You just have to be able to keep up with those of us who are out of our minds.
What's a bachelorette party without a phalic cake? Actually it was a brownie covered in frosting with a little marshmallow treat that my soon to be maid of honor cooked up. Smelled and tasted divine. Brownie + frosting = so much better than cake!

The whole group. (Helen-disco queen, Elizabeth-gypsy, Trish-belly dancer, Ali-construction worker, me, Mandi-doctor, Brittany-pirate, and Ryan was our token gay guy for the night because apparently that's necessary. He's not really gay, but does an alarmingly good job of pulling it off. Especially after Brittany put eyemake-up on him...

Tequila shots properly done with salt and lime. Only three takers though...

After a stop off at Castles I was now equiped with a sparkly wig, a lolipop, and an interesting whistle. Thanks Ali...

A quarter-assed lap dance by my 'token gay guy'. I'd just had a long island iced tea and probably though it was nicely executed.

Mandi and me, after she shed her polyester lab coat.

Alicia (girlfriend to the token gay guy), Ryan, and Brittany

YMCA came on. Fortunately we had not only a disco queen but a construction worker to boot!

T'were a good night and I didn't feel to rubbishy the next day because I have some semblance of control and knew that an additional long island would have been a poor plan indeed.
Next post: boat ride!!

you guys get up to weird things in America for bachelorette parties (we actually call them a 'hens night').
looks like you had a good time though, and I am so impressed with the cake!
wow
Well Karen, most bachelorette parties here aren't costume parties. Apparently only if you have friends like mine does one get a shindig like that.
Lisa, no worries about fitting into the antics there. As soon as I heard about the pimps and hos night, I was so sad that I had missed out. Maybe a similar theme will come up again on a red card night (that's what you guys call 'em, right?).
ah, friends can be good like that sometimes. haha. my sister is organising something for me before gus and mines wedding, but she has been given a strict set of guidelines and rules. i shudder to think what some of my friends would plan for me if it was lrft up to them!!
saw your countdown... 10 days until you see maurice, that's crazy soon!
